How do we calculate this?

The information you supply about your organisation allows us to estimate your annual paper usage and spend based on our research and experience in thousands of companies. We then apply assumptions based on the 4 main areas that yoyo can help you save cost and carbon.

1 Combining deliveries
   and collections

This utilises the backfill capacity of our fleet and allows us to marginally cost collections. This will allow us to reduce costs for our customers, as well as lower the logistics carbon footprint by operating one vehicle rather than two.

2 Minimising wastage

Our research shows organisations typically waste 15% of the paper they buy. Yoyo will help by giving customers the management information they need to use paper more efficiently, and drive out up to 50% of waste.
3 Switching papers
Depending on the type of organisation 40 - 90% of all paper is used for internal applications. Switching to low-shade recycled paper would reduce the carbon footprint (source: IFEU) and represent a purchase price saving on virgin paper.

4 Recycling not discarding

Recycling paper saves 500kg to 3000kg of carbon per tonne compared to landfill (source: WRAP). Yoyo papers will be recycled up to 7 times, achieving a conservative carbon benefit of 500kg per tonne. IFEU data has been used to calculate the overall carbon footprint of the paper consumed.
During the yoyo Paper Survey our paper specialists will be able to create a tailored version of the calculator, populated with your real data rather than our assumptions.
